Eleanor established Beltrano Quarterly in 2025 to address a gap in independent editorial coverage of the fatigue-eating relationship. She commissions all articles and holds final editorial responsibility for each issue.
Beltrano Quarterly is an independent editorial publication based in London. We document the relationship between energy, rest, and everyday eating habits — without the hype, the directive, or the commercial interest that shapes most wellness content. Our focus is narrow by design: the ordinary body, in ordinary circumstances, making the ordinary choices that accumulate into health over time.
We publish quarterly. Each issue contains three to five articles, examined in depth, drawing on published nutritional and behavioural research rather than expert opinion, lifestyle trend, or product interest. Our editorial standards are described on the methodology page. Our contact and correspondence address is listed on the contact page.
The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body. It does not accept advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate partnerships. Its continued publication is supported by the independent editorial functioning of its founding team.

Every claim in every article is drawn from or consistent with published research. We do not publish editorial opinion that contradicts the observational literature, nor do we present preliminary findings as established fact. Where the evidence is uncertain, we say so.
We resist the tendency to transform documented patterns into actionable prescriptions. The research describes what tends to happen under certain conditions. It does not prescribe what any individual should do. Our editorial voice reflects this distinction.
We carry no advertising, accept no sponsorship, and maintain no affiliate relationships. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial interest. This independence is structural — it is written into the founding operating conditions of the publication and cannot be changed by circumstance.
The publication's editorial archive is organised around three subject areas that reflect the most consistently documented intersections in the research literature on energy, rest, and eating. Each issue contains at least one article from each area, ensuring that the connecting thread — how tiredness and food choices interact in daily life — is examined from multiple angles across the publication's life.
Recovery sleep and weight, rest cycles and hunger signals, sleep quality and body composition. How the overnight hours set the conditions for the day's eating behaviour.
Current article →Afternoon energy slump and eating, energy and meal timing, fatigue and evening eating. The circadian architecture of the day and how it mediates food choices.
Current article →Chronic low energy and body composition, fatigue and portion awareness, movement when tired. The cumulative compositional weight of low-energy patterns, observed without hype.
